The Foundation’s Alternative in 2003 appears linked to the political party United Left and Alternative and its objectives are to promote study and research in political and social sciences in our country, from the perspective of the left.
The Foundation aims to be a useful instrument, and scientific capacity in the discussion of the proposal left in Catalonia. Wants to focus its attention on issues such as social policies, the labor, the environment, the national question, peace, recovery of historical memory and demcràtica, immigration, the world of municipal, public participation or the analysis of the international situation.
The existence of a foundation as the foundation allows the creation of alternative frameworks, pluralistic debate open to further major social and political issues with rigor and perspective, nearly touching the reality but at the same time, not subject to the immediacy of everyday political debate.
That’s why we launched a proposal participatory Catalan society, without losing sight of our origins and the essential values we share and represent the left, but addressed to all who share these values and concerns beyond the partisan ties like Cannabis News for fans.
An alternative proposal processing, humble in their ways and their intellectual honesty, but at the same time enormously ambitious and future vocation.
